| The Northern Hammer Hearth is a group of individuals dedicated to upholding the beliefs and traditions of the ancient Teutonic and Scandinavian peoples. As such, we honor and worship the gods and goddesses of Northern Europe, including Odin, Thor, Frey, Freya, Heimdall, and Tyr. |
| We meet roughly twice a month to discuss, among other things, the eddas and sagas of Norse literature, study the runes, and generally socialize with others who share our beliefs. We also gather to celebrate the great blessings of the seasons as well as days that commemorate significant events and people in Scandinavian history. |
| Although we have integrated some forms of costume for our major rituals, we are not simply a group that tries to recreate the viking age, nor are we some radical racist idiots who try to boast genetic superiority through the lack of melanin in our skin. Our goal is to rediscover the heritage that was lost to us over one-thousand years ago and bring it back into our daily lives. |
| Our group has no political or religious agenda, and we do not seek to actively convert people who already are comfortable with their current religion. We understand that Asatru is not an absolute religion. It is not the only choice, but rather one path among many. |
